Regulates the nucleocytoplasmic shuttling and nuclear retention of PER1 and its repressive role on the clock transcription factors CLOCK and ARNTL/BMAL1 (By similarity). Plays a role in the regulation of myogenic differentiation of embryonic muscle cells.
